Nebraska Wedding Day Editor/Creative Director

Annual Publication with Seasonal feature inserts

neweddingday.com

Tiger Oak Media, publishers of Seattle Bride, California Wedding Day, Minnesota Bride, Austin Bride, Oregon Bride, Seattle magazine and dozens of other regional titles, is looking for a dynamic, resourceful editor for its annual magazine that is updated quarterly. We’re looking for a sharp, snappy editor and writer, stylist, creative director type who follows bridal fashion and dress designers; is obsessed with what’s new in event décor trends; and who celebrates the rustic, local elements of Nebraska weddings alongside the more cosmopolitan, big-city celebrations. The editor will be the face of the magazine and oversee editorial aspects of creating and maintaining the magazine’s fresh, modern, glossy brand: concept, assign, edit (and write) stories for the magazine; work with the art director on fashion shoots, décor and other photo shoots as the main stylist for the shoots, propping, scouting locations and working with local wedding talent as creative partners; regularly correspond and collaborate with local wedding vendors; solicit and manage real wedding photography submissions; act as spokesperson for the magazine and make appearances at bridal events and in the media; and contribute to the Web site, working with our digital editor. Ideal candidate lives in or near Lincoln or Omaha, Nebraska, and has magazine, newspaper or digital editing experience in the lifestyle/shopping/fashion beats.

Send brief letter of interest, resume and samples of your work (PDFs of designed magazine/newspaper/web pages preferred) to Brides Managing Editor Sarah Baumann Rogers at nweditor@tigeroak.com. NO PHONE CALLS.
