Couple’s name Jonathan & Tonya Linas
Wedding date May 24, 2009
How they met At law school in St. Louis, they ended up in the same study group the night before their criminal law exam. “Needless to say, we both received our lowest grade in criminal law, but it was well worth it!”
Favorite detail “Pink lighting in the reception hall—it created an incredibly romantic atmosphere.”
Biggest mishap When changing from her wedding dress into her saree minutes before the ceremony, Tonya realized she had forgotten to pack a bra. Luckily, a loved one provided Tonya with the bra off her back and saved the day.
Best decision Marrying each other.
Family trip Tonya and her mother took a trip to India in preparation for the wedding, which is where she found her saree. They spent time with family they hadn’t seen in years, and Tonya received her grandmother’s blessing before she passed away.
Honeymoon location French Polynesia—Jon planned the entire trip and kept the location a secret from Tonya right up until they arrived at the airport.
