First Look and Bride + Groom portraits are always some of the most special moments we photograph. From the excited anticipation of seeing your person to that first hug, a first look is truly one of the best parts of a wedding day!
Bride and Groom portraits are created with a mixture of prompted and posed photos! With prompted photos, we help you out to by telling you general things to do and where to put your hands, and then we prompt you to interact naturally together - getting those gorgeous candid photos. We mix those with a few fun posed portraits to show off the elegance of your wedding day!
Ceremonies and Receptions are FULL of candid and beautiful moments! During these moments, we will NEVER step in and adjust anything. This is your moment - enjoy it to the fullest.
We always encourage our couples to take sunset or just married photos! This is one of the only times you'll get to be alone together before the end of the night, and our couples always love taking even just 5 minutes to step away and look back on their day!
Your reception is one of our personal favorite parts of a day. The emotions are at an all-time high. You're finally married, and you get the spend the rest of the night celebrating with your people.

I shot my first wedding in 2013 - and it truly was love from the start. Being born and raised in Washington State, I was always exploring and taking photos, and photographing weddings seemed to be a natural outpouring of that curiosity and love for life. Now I live in the western IA with my farmer husband!
My goal is to intentionally connect with you so that we can cultivate your photographic vision for your day! These photos will preserve your legacy for generations to come, so they need to represent you well.
