Floral Wonderland with Retro Details at Omaha Marriott Downtown

Joselyn Wojtalewicz and Camden Parks spent years orbiting the same spaces—attending the same grade school, working at the same country club, even sharing college bars and friend groups—without ever actually meeting. It wasn’t until much later, after a casual Instagram message and a long-distance stretch, that their love story finally began.

On the morning of their wedding day, the bride stepped into a veil made from her mother’s wedding dress, while gifting her and Camden’s respective mothers custom birthstone earrings that tied their families together. The ceremony at St. Wenceslaus offered a classic start before the newlyweds welcomed guests to the Marriott Downtown at the Capitol District for a reception that felt like stepping into a whimsical garden party.

Oversized florals towered above the tables, setting the tone for their Alice in Wonderland–inspired celebration. Personal details were woven throughout the design, from a cake that nodded to both sets of parents’ original wedding cakes—reimagined with a retro twist—to Joselyn honoring her grandmothers by incorporating keepsakes into her bouquet.

After dinner, the energy shifted. In lieu of a receiving line, the couple carried on Joselyn’s grandmother’s tradition, “pots and pans,” where guests banged pots and pans together to congratulate the newlyweds. From there, the dance floor stayed packed as their favorite band played, with late-night Runza and spicy margaritas keeping everyone fueled.
