Justin Larsen and Melanie Royal’s courtship and wedding ceremony were full of magic moments. There was the moment Melanie turned around on New Year’s Eve 2015 and asked, “Who wants to buy me a tequila shot?” and Justin volunteered to fulfill the request of the “hot blonde” (his words!). There was the moment in a Kansas City park in March 2018 when Justin dragged a couple over to take a photo of them and, to Melanie’s complete surprise, proposed. And—the most magic moment of all, for both of them—their “first look” on the day of their wedding. Melanie says she loved gazing at her handsome groom; Justin recalls being blown away by his “absolutely stunning” bride. At the Roca Berry Farm, draped fabric softened the rustic doors, beams and arbor, for a romantic, elegant feeling. Melanie and her bridesmaids carried floral bouquets in mauve, lavender, pink and blush tones down the aisle, where Mason jars filled with flowers hung from shepherd’s hooks along the path. More flowers graced the reception tables, mixed with votive candles, greenery and gold accents. The day yielded another magic moment when it grew dark, and guests and the wedding party gave the newlyweds a sparkling send-off.
