When it comes to guest favors, I’ve seen it all - Hershey kisses, mini champagne bottles, boxed donuts, key chains, popcorn, jam, koozies, coasters, and mason jars - all with the couple’s names and their wedding date on them somewhere. I have nothing against tangible party favors, but sometimes they can be easily forgotten if there isn’t a personal touch. I love the idea of gifting something every person will actually use or benefit from - with a tag denoting the guests' names, tied on it with silk ribbon. We toyed with the idea of olive oil jars or homemade salsa, but at the end of the day - we decided the hundreds we’d spend on these favors would be far more beneficial if donated in the name of our wedding to our favorite charity! We’re making small postcards for each place setting stating that in lieu of favors, we’ve made a donation to the American Cancer Society in honor of our lost loved ones. We think it's a great way to spread the love to an organization that can help save lives!
