Karli McCain and Austin Coffin used their extraordinary DIY talents to create a wedding that was rich with meaning and full of personal touches. A talented woodworker and carpenter, Austin milled the seats for the wedding and laser- engraved the welcome sign. He also laser-engraved and hand-carved each family member’s name for seating at the reception. Karli, an enthusiastic thrifter, found or made many items. For nearly a year before the wedding, the couple collected and recycled green glassware to be used during the cocktail hour, then each guest chose a glass for their beverage of choice and kept it as a wedding-day token. A fan of boho chic, Karli also collected used vintage rugs to place down the aisle. Extended family also took part: one aunt arranged the florals using assorted dried and artificial flowers, and another aunt provided homemade wine for an after-the-ceremony cocktail hour.
