Garden Wedding Vibes? YES!

Courtney Buhr and Brandon Sedlacek have known each other since kindergarten. Standing the test of time, their relationship has always been built on a connection that kept bringing the two together. “He’s always been a listening ear,” Courtney says of her dapper groom. One weekend in Omaha, the couple attended Brew at the Zoo at the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium before taking a horse-drawn carriage ride into the Old Market. Once they arrived at a set of fountains, Brandon proposed with a classic solitaire ring. Courtney, who was living in the town of Adams, chose the newly opened Vintage Venue in Beatrice. “It was an easy choice, it was so gorgeous,” says Courtney. Friends since high school, the tight-knit bridal party sported subtle hues of pink to complement their lush, greenery-filled bouquets. “I wanted the wedding to be like a garden party,” Courtney says. “I love ferns, the texture of them, how big they are, and I wanted to have something new and unique.” As an homage to their relationship, the couple opted to serve a Bundt cake on each table at their reception, because, says Courtney, Bundt cakes are “what we always go to whenever we’re celebrating something.”
