Brad Newton and Grace Pavlik had just enjoyed a lovely dinner out, reveling in the recent purchase of their new house. When they returned home, Grace opened the door to flowers and candles, the perfect setting for Brad’s proposal. As New Year’s Eve is a favorite day for Grace, full of memories of celebrations past and reflections on the year gone by, it seemed the perfect day to get married. “It was an incredibly heartfelt and personal day because of the things we chose to incorporate,” Grace says. The couple wrote their own vows, Brad’s father officiated and their parents helped them plant a unity tree, while Grace’s uncle played piano and her aunt made the late-night snacks. A palette of blush and champagne tones with black and white details, a bounty of candles and globe lights, and vintage furniture to create cozy gathering spaces gave the evening a warm, classic vibe. Making the evening even more spectacular was a countdown to midnight, complete with hats and noisemakers and Omaha’s New Year’s fireworks display, followed by a sparkler send-off from family and friends.
Grace and Brad's wedding was a New Year's Eve to remember.
