Warm Glow of Winter Sets the Scene for an Elegant, Rustic Wedding Day at The Barn at the Ackerhurst Dairy Farm

Despite growing up an ocean apart, Sabrina Steele and Trey Tenopir’s worlds collided in the restaurant where she worked. After catching a glimpse of him from across the bar, Sabrina convinced her co-worker to switch sections with her, allowing her to be closer to Trey—and the rest was history! Having transitioned into the world of marketing and social media, Sabrina and her mother set out to design a “Colorado winter” inspired wedding set at The Barn at the Ackerhurst Dairy Farm. The pair began their big day by sharing letters written by Sabrina with their parents in private, tearful moments before joining together for their first look. As a long-time fan of "Say Yes to the Dress," Sabrina experienced her own Kleinfeld moment by wearing a jaw-dropping, strapless ballgown, adorned with white appliqué flowers at the base of the skirt and a matching veil. Trey donned a classic black tux and glossy eyes as he awaited his bride at the end of the candlelit aisle, a dramatic backdrop of pre-lit Christmas trees behind him. Forest elegance was incorporated into every stunning detail of the reception space, from the cranberry-colored ribbons on each napkin that matched the bridesmaid dresses to the evergreen runner and mixed taper and pillar candles that ran the length of the wooden head table to the 3D rocky mountain art piece displayed on the front of the DJ booth that mirrored the woodsy design of the two-tiered cake. After presenting a bouquet to her mother to honor all her hard work and help during the planning process, Sabrina and Trey took to the dance floor alongside their “party hard” crew, dancing and laughing the night away.
