Devin Washington took notes from the movie Love Actually to propose to his girlfriend of 12 years, Chloe DeCoito. His heartfelt holiday proposal was picture-perfect as he drove a blindfolded Chloe to a Christmas tree display in Midtown Omaha, then played their favorite song while he held up handwritten messages on cardboard. For their wedding day, the couple’s goal was to create a romantically inviting atmosphere, and the flora cooperated: Hydrangeas were in full bloom at Stables at Copper Ridge, complementing their palette of black, white and pinks. The florals were a work of art, featuring pink and white tones of anthurium, orchids and amaranth. Guests gathered at the long dining tables lined with baby’s breath and roses and took advantage of the outdoor space with string lights and a fireplace, creating the warm vibe the couple was going for. As a designer, bride Chloe designed details for their nuptials like the ceremony pillars, invitations and signage to create the wedding day of their dreams.
