Choosing our photographer was honestly one of the most overwhelming wedding decisions we have had to make thus far. Over and over I would come across people saying, “Photos are for a lifetime,” “At the end of the day all you have are pictures,” “The day flies by, so you’ll want to make sure every moment is captured,” and “Your photographers are with you the entire day, so make sure you like them!” We were really feeling the pressure to choose the perfect photographer to capture our big day. I knew making sure the photographer had our wedding day available meant starting the search right away, so I sat myself at my computer and took the plunge into researching our photography options. I quickly realized I was drawn to styles that felt natural, but ultimately traditional. I loved seeing couples captured in a timeless way that could always take you right back to any moment. After scrolling through many blog posts, and asking for referrals from friends, I started sending out emails to my favorite contenders for more information. Once I had gathered all the information I could, I created a checklist of "wants" to narrow down my top choices.
- Budget
- All-day coverage
- Digital rights to our photos
- Two photographers the day of the wedding
- People we knew we would want to simply have around us on our big day
Ultimately, both Brian and I both were drawn to The Mullers' work, and we couldn’t be more excited to have them documenting the day for us! While this post includes some of my favorite moments that they have captured, you may have also seen their work on the cover on the 2016 Winter Issue of Nebraska Wedding Day and in a couple Real Wedding features!
