I got the call last week that my wedding dress finally came in at Ellynne Bridal! It had been six long months since I ordered it and I bought it after trying on just five dresses, so needless to say, I was anxious to see it again and try that baby on! Since my fiancé supposedly reads my blog posts, I can’t show you what it looks like, but it’s a Maggie Sottero and trust me, it’s gorg.
Having the dress in my possession makes this whole wedding thing feel real for the first time. It is also forcing me to realize how much there still is left to do to complete my look…let alone everything else!
I already have a salon appointment booked for me and my ‘maids on the big day at a Shear Thing Salon in Omaha. I’m leaning toward a half-up, half-down hair style similar to Angelina’s look below. I also LOVE Angelina’s earrings in that photo and it inspired me to look for similar and much more affordable ones on Rent the Runway. I’m considering the dangles below because not only are they fantastic, but they’re also a way to incorporate my “something blue.” On the other hand, I always hear people say that you shouldn’t stray too much from your normal look on you wedding day and I’m not a big jewelry person. Maybe I should try to find sapphire studs somewhere because that seems more “me”? With four months to go, we’ll see how many times my mind changes.
