{bride blogger blair} registry

Spotlight

A few days ago, I broke our blender making a protein shake. But instead of getting mad, I got excited. “That will be the first thing I register for,” I thought. Flash forward 10 minutes later and I had set up an online registry with Bed, Bath & Beyond. Flash forward 10 more minutes and I had a new blender, grill cover and picture frame all picked out.

Now, flash forward almost a week later and those are the only three items that still sit on our only registry. I’m finding it’s so hard to find the time to do even the tasks that are supposed to be fun, like registering!

With just under four months to go, I really need to set up a time to actually go into some stores, “shopping” list and scanner gun in hand.  As much as I do love BBB and JC Penney (likely where I will set up our second gift registry), I so badly wish it was possible (or socially acceptable) to register with fun websites for online shopping like Etsy. I. LOVE. ETSY.  Obviously, I want my silverware and kitchen stuff to be brand-spanking new and sparkly, but I also think it’d be cool to simultaneously support fellow DIY crafters like myself and to get some handmade decorations for our house, including holiday stuff and other one-of-a-kind items as well.

Anyone have any registering advice for me? Where are you registered? Is wedding china still a thing? What have you heard people say they wish they would have registered for after it was over? Any stores offering incentives if you sign up with them? I’d love to hear your tips and tricks– leave a comment!
