For Drew and I, choosing a destination wedding was easy - almost a no-brainer. ALMOST! There were definitely a few things to consider when deciding if a destination wedding was right for us. Most importantly, was the potential that family and friends very near and dear to us would not be able to make it or might not want to travel. Fortunately for us, our families were excited about the idea of getting to travel somewhere to celebrate, and our friends are a fairly adventurous bunch!
Another aspect to consider was that having a destination wedding meant having a limited guest list for the wedding. For us, the idea of an intimate group that could kick back and celebrate for a couple of days together in paradise sounded like our style. We'll have the chance to spend a week celebrating one of the biggest milestones in our lives with those closest to us, and on top of that, do it among the clear waters and sandy beaches of Mexico.
Of course, not all family members and friends could attend so we decided to have a reception back home soon after we return. Stay tuned for more on that!
