Bride Blogger Casey - Veil, updated - part 2

Veils are typically seen as the icing on the cake of a beautiful wedding-day look and a dramatic ceremony entrance. However, the question isn't even as simple as "to veil or not to veil." Veils can range from long, romantic and cathedral to a simple blusher that conveys a funky, retro vibe. Finding the right veil is entirely dependent on your personal style and what kind of feel you're going for on your big day.

Even before I got engaged, I was obsessed with the look of Juliet cap veils. The style of the cap is hundreds of years old, but they became trendy once again for brides in the 1920's and were even fashioned into more modern looks during the 1950's. Grace Kelly's veil is a nice example of a 1950's influenced Juliet cap. Recently, many vintage-loving brides have brought back the Juliet cap and made it look chic with their contemporary gowns. Supermodel Kate Moss looked simply iconic in her Juliet cap veil at her garden wedding in 2011.

Honoring a trend that's a bit more 1970's inspired, I absolutely adore floral crowns on brides! Marrying the two concepts of a traditional church veil and adding an ethereal crown of your favorite flowers would be a fabulous way to get the best of both worlds on your wedding day!
