Finding something meaningful and useful to give to your friends and family who have agreed to take part in your wedding is one of the lesser-known stresses of wedding planning. While you want to give the perfect gift, it's difficult for many brides and grooms to find something worthwhile but affordable.
In my experience, money clips have been the recent go-to. These are great because you can engrave them for a relatively low price and it's something any man can make use of. I've seen these engraved with anything from the recipient's initials to a quirky (but relevant) quote. A laughable quote or an inside joke adds a memorable touch to the gift in my opinion!
Decanters are another popular item with groomsmen today. I blame AMC's Mad Men - not that I haven't joined in the bar-cart trend myself. Decanters are simple and elegant, and a monogram adds a personal touch.
My personal favorite (albeit on the expensive side) is the gift of a tie travel case. It's so occasion-appropriate and something that many men just don't think to get themselves. You can even gift your groomsmen a tie to wear with their suit on the day of the wedding to make the gift even more functional. Add in a handkerchief, and you have the perfect 'thank you' present for any fine gentleman - or your scamp of a little brother masquerading as a gentleman for the day.
