Bride Blogger Casey - Taking Great Wedding Photos

Not ready for your close-up? Look no further! Take a few extra measures to ensure you look your very best in your wedding photos. Here are a few tips I've learned and heard from my photographer friends over the years:

  1. SMILE WITH YOUR EYES. Don't be afraid to practice this in the mirror! It's your wedding day - think of all the great memories you are making!
  2. ELONGATE YOUR NECK. Lower your shoulders and tilt your chin slightly upward.
  3. WHITEN YOUR TEETH. This will not only improve your look, but also make you feel more confident in your photos.
  4. ADD SOME COLOR. Don't forget to wear blush! This is a frequently overlooked piece of information. You don't want to look washed out next to your white dress. Bronzer can also add a nice touch, just be careful not to overdo it.
  5. KEEP POWDER ON HAND. Ask a bridesmaid or personal attendant to carry your makeup powder in their handbag. Reapply as necessary to avoid looking too shiny. Dab on your forehead, nose and chin.
  6. KNOW YOUR "GOOD" SIDE. Trust me - we all have one! Practice in the mirror or with selfies to find your better side.
