Bride Blogger Christine: Traditions

Spotlight

I love traditions. The tunnel walk, stockings at Christmas, switching tassels at graduation - I love it all. A wedding presents so many different traditions and I'm giddy at the thought of doing them. One of the most well known wedding traditions - something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue -  is something I've been looking forward to doing since I was a little girl. The dress will be my "new" and my shoes my "blue." My mom's veil was worn by my sister and I'll wear it as my "old." It's a cathedral length veil with lace detailing on the edge very similar to the one in the picture. I love that all three of us will have worn it and I hope to have something like that that I can pass on to daughters someday. My mom also has a sapphire ring I'll wear on my right hand as my something "borrowed." (Aren't moms wonderful! I don't know what I'd do without mine.) I haven't gotten to some of the other traditions like the garter, but that just means I have a relaxing evening on Etsy sometime in the near future!
