bride blogger dani: the bling

Spotlight

Wedding planning is fun, a little stressful at times, but defiantly a lot of fun.  One of my favorite things thus far is when my fiancé and I went to pick out our wedding bands! Kane did a wonderful job picking out my engagement ring, but I couldn’t wait to pick out our wedding bands together. I don’t know about anyone else, but have you seen the price of gold lately, yikes?!?! With predictions of it continuing to rise higher and higher in price I thought we should start looking right away so we would still be able to get quality pieces in our budget.

The whole process was so much fun, I mean what girl doesn’t love trying on beautiful jewelry right? All in all, Kane and I made stops at about six different jewelers in town. Advice for future brides: do NOT be afraid to shop around. The store Kane bought my engagement ring from had some beautiful wedding bands, but they weren’t exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t want to settle and be disappointed in something later on, so I decided to keep on looking.  And don’t feel pressured into choosing something right away. A month later and multiple stops at different jewelry stores we walked into A.T. Thomas Jewelers and I knew I had found the perfect band!  Brian helped us through the whole process and answered every single question we had. He really took into consideration the styles, prices, and concerns we had when selecting pieces to show us. Not only did he do an excellent job helping me to find mine, but also he was so helpful with Kane’s! Men have so many more choices (with the multiple types of metal they can choose from) that both Kane and I were overwhelmed at first.  Brian gave us the positives and negatives to each one and helped steer us in the direction that was best for Kane.  We both could not be happier with our selections.! It feels great to check something so big off our checklist, and makes the fact that we are getting marries seem so much more real now!!

I couldn’t find a photo of my band on the website so I’ll share one I took, sorry for the close up, but it is the only one I had.

Tell me, did any of you brides  take awhile to pick out your wedding bands, or did you find them on the first stop? Did anything make the process easier?

 9 months to go!!
