bride blogger dani: bridesmaid dresses

Spotlight

This past Monday I took full advantage of my day off of work and tackled a couple wedding items I needed to take care of. The biggest one was choosing my bridesmaid dresses. This is something I had a difficult time with. In everyday life I am not a fan of making decisions that affect other people, so trying to pick a dress that three very different women would be wearing was so hard! Thankfully I have the world’s best bridesmaids (I might be a little biased here) and they were open to anything.

When I first started wedding planning I was positive I wanted a short black dress for my girls to wear, since it will be the end of summer I wanted a lighter fabric like chiffon so they wouldn’t be uncomfortable when taking photos outside and such. Since my dress is strapless I wanted them to be different from mine so I was searching for a one shoulder or halter option. When talking to my Matron of Honor one day she mentioned that having long dresses might look and ‘flow’ better in our wedding photos. The more I thought about having long dresses the more I liked them.

As I shared with you a couple months ago my dress is from the Mori Lee bridal collection and I am absolutely in love with it!! I was hoping to find my bridesmaid dresses in their bridesmaid collection and they had so many options to choose from. On Monday I finally settled on this beautiful one shoulder chiffon dress.

Now I just have to decide if I want to go with the eggplant color or the marine color, hopefully this won’t be as hard as actually deciding on the dress itself! I can’t wait to start looking for accessories for the girls!
