This past weekend I went home and tried to finish up all the last minute wedding tasks that were still on my list. This was the last time I’ll be in Minden before the wedding and I had a lot to do. Thursday my mom, two of her friends and I finished making all the mints we will have at our reception. I couldn’t believe how simple and easy mint making was! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to do something hands on or DIY but maybe doesn’t have all the time in the world.
Friday I started off by running all around town and making the last payments to all my vendors. One thing I have enjoyed about having a longer engagement is the fact that I had awhile to save and pay off these things over time, instead of getting hit with large payments all at once. I also had my last hair trial, and decided to go with this style that I had shared earlier. My hair stylist also added some details in there and with a couple tweaks I think it will be perfect for the day of!
And finally, I had my final dress fitting. My dress fits like a glove and I get more and more excited every time I am able to try it on. I can’t believe I have kept it a secret from my fiancé this long, but I can’t wait for him to finally see it!
This weekend I have my bachelorette party with my bridesmaids, a couple close friends, and family. I am excited to spend some time with everyone and not having it involve a wedding task or craft! The last couple weeks I find myself in awe at the wonderful people that I have been so lucky to have in my life and that have been so helpful and supportive in everything we have done in the last 14 months to prepare for our wedding day. As excited I am for my wedding, here’s to hoping the next 17 days fly by!
