As of yesterday, I have 10 months to go before I become a Mrs.! My wedding planning has come to a halt as I have had some big projects due at work and school the last couple weeks. I recently got an e-mail from The Knot with a list of items that I should be completing during the next month--
- Start looking for caterers --Check!
- Start looking for a reception area--Check!
- Start meeting with florists to discuss different options-- Check!
- Start your guest list-- Not Done
My task for this week is to start getting my guest list in order, which I have been dreading! This is such a time consuming one, and involves so much planning. Kane and I have decided on the number of guests we want: Kane and I get to invite 1/3 of the guests, my parents 1/3, and Kane's parents get 1/3. Since each day I am getting closer and closer to the wedding day it will be nice to have a more definite number when I am talking to vendors.
A lot of friends and family have started asking me about details dealing with the wedding. I want to have all this information available to them so I am thinking of setting up a wedding website. This should be an easy way to have all my information in one spot and I can continue to update it as the day gets closer.
Do any of you brides have any tips on keeping a guest list in order for when you send out save the dates, invitations, and RSVPs?
