After I figured out all the plans I shared with you last week I wanted to get one of my number one priorities out of the way, the photography. I love photos! I always have my camera out and my walls are covered in them. The photographs are the one physical item I will be able to take away from our wedding day. I sat down with my fiancé and we put together a checklist for what we wanted.
1.) Someone who would be able to be there from getting ready to the bouquet/garter toss at the reception.
2.) We wanted the copyrights to the photos.
3.) We wanted someone local
4.) Someone that was just as excited about being at our wedding as we were
5.) We wanted two photographers (though we weren’t picky on this one)
Can I just say I lucked out? I found an amazing photographer, Gleason Photography who shoots in the Kearney/North Platte/Lexington area. I contacted them last March after viewing their face book page and website. When Kane and I met with Dustin and Leticia (they are a husband-wife team) I was immediately impressed. They were a young, fun-loving couple, and they answered the page of questions I had written down before hand with a smile! And the best part, they covered every single requirement on my checklist, and then some! Since then I have been looking at their blog daily, and have been so impressed with the quality of their work, I would encourage you to go and check them out, you will not be disappointed. Kane and I are meeting them in Kearney in 3 weeks to get our engagement photos taken and I cannot wait!! If any of you have suggestions/things to avoid when taking engagement pictures I would love to hear them!
