bride blogger dani: save the dates

Spotlight

I’m not sure if it is because I have been so unbelievably  busy these past couple weeks or the fact the I am right on schedule (very doubtful), but I am feel like I have hit a stand still on my wedding planning. I have many of my major items accomplished, but feel like it is too far out to start on other things. One project that I have decided to start thinking about is our Save the Dates. Originally I had planned on sending them out around Christmas as a Save the Date/Christmas card, but then I didn’t want them to get lost in the shuffle of holiday greetings.  Right now my plan is to start looking into designs I like, finding where I want to get them printed, and hopefully get them sent out in the middle of January/early February. A lot of places I’ve read say to send Save the Dates 3-4 months ahead of time, but summer is a popular time for weddings and August seems to be the time everyone takes there last big trips before school starts and summer winds down. Since we have quite a few out of town guests I figured this would be a perfect time.

There are so many different options for Save the Dates I am trying to decide if I want a regular card, post card, magnet…there are so many options!  I just received a cd containing all my engagement photos from Gleason Photography, so I can’t wait to start playing around with different designs! Have any of you received really cool Save the Dates? Or even what is your favorite kind to get?

Here are a couple Save the Dates designs I love!
