I have been waiting till I sent out my save the dates to family and friends to share them with you! Shortly after we got engaged a good friend of Kane and I’s agreed to design our Save the Dates. After showing him a couple ideas that I liked he went to work and put together this.
*Side note: I blacked out our wedding website for privacy*
I could not be happier with the end result! Blake did a great job of incorporating all the information I wanted, along with something that was fun and a little different from other Save the Dates I have seen. I decided to get them printed in Minden at Minden 5th Street Printing. I worked closely with Trish and she was extremely patient, helpful, and accommodating! I probably changed my mind four or five times during the printing process. First I wanted them in black and white, then a bigger size, then in color. Both Blake and Trish were so nice to work with and assured me my multiple changes, e-mails, and phone calls were normal (even though I am sure they just said this to make me feel better).
I decided to hand address our all of our save the dates, which may explain why it has taken me about a month and half to finish and mail these out. Kane and I worked out a system where I wrote each person name and address and he would write the return address. It made the process a lot easier and not quite as time consuming. For some reason the plain white envelope looked bare to me, so I went to Michael’s and found a ‘R’ stamp and some ink in one of our wedding colors. I stamped a teal R on the flap of each of the envelopes, to add a personal touch.
After all the time and energy addressing these save the dates took, I kind of wish I would have started on my actual invitations months ago :)
Have a good week everyone!
