Raise your hand if you were one of those girls who had your dream wedding pinned on Pinterest long before you were ever in a serious relationship, let alone engaged! Unfortunately, I'm just as guilty as the rest of you!
Once I was ready to dive in and start planning, I found that just looking at my boards gave me anxiety. With over 900 pins, my "Going to the Chapel" board was overflowing with enough ideas to plan numerous weddings. Lacking a cohesive theme, the original state of my board made it extremely difficult to find focus and direction.
To help organize the mess I had created, I started individual boards for each aspect of the wedding: color scheme & aspirations, decor & details, centerpieces & tables, flowers, the dress, the look, wedding paper, wedding eats, cake, engagement outfit ideas.
My suggestion would be to limit each board to five to 15 pins to truly help you refine your ideas. These boards will also be great references to use during your vendor meeting to help depict the aesthetic you are trying to achieve. Overall, this process helped me gain a clear vision of what I wanted our big day to look like!
Happy pinning and organizing!
