It seems like it was just yesterday that Nick and I were decked out in Jays gear at Creighton's Missouri Valley Conference tournament in St. Louis in 2012. Growing up as a huge Jays fan and attending Creighton, MVC in St. Louis was always a special trip for me. Who knew that it would be the beginning of something so special! As Nick likes to put it, he swept me off my feet and the rest is history!
On June 18, 2015, we went to dinner at one of our favorite spots in Kansas City, a restaurant called Houston's. After dinner he wanted to meet a couple of our friends for a drink, or so I thought. On our way to grab a drink, we took a stroll through the park on the Country Club Plaza where he got down on one knee to ask me to marry him! After he proposed, we went over to a bar on the Plaza to meet our friends. That's when I found out he surprised me by having both of our families come into town from Omaha to celebrate with us!
