We have just under one month until Nick and I say "I do!" I thought our engagement would pass by slowly, but these last six months have flown by. I can't believe the fourth of July has already passed - it seems like we were just celebrating St. Patrick's Day! I can't wait for our wedding day to be here so Nick and I will finally be married.
Some days it seems like we don't have anything left on our to-do list, and others feel like our checklist is never-ending. Thankfully, I have some amazing women supporting me during this process who have been helping me out when I'm not able to make it back to Omaha to finish up the last-minute projects.
This last month I am focusing on finishing last-minute projects and enjoying the rest of my time just being engaged. I want to make sure we have the majority of our tasks done before the week of the wedding so we can enjoy that time with our wedding party, family and friends. Reflecting back on the planning process, I realized I went in not knowing half of what goes into a wedding day. It's amazing how much time and detail it takes to bring the entire day together! It seems crazy to spend a full year planning for just one day, but you only get to do it once. I am looking forward to putting the final touches on the last few projects while crossing my fingers the next month doesn't move too fast!
