Bride Blogger Emily - The Gift Registry v2

Registering for gifts has been a task in the wedding-planning process that I have really been looking forward to. It proved to be a little overwhelming at first while thinking of everything we needed, but when it came time to do it, I turned to my trusty sources - my sister and online resources - for the products and brands we really need. It took some time and wasn't a one-night job. First, I made a list of places I wanted to register at, then listed the products I wanted to register for at each place. The list was rough and I kept adding to it as I would think of things over the next few days. Finally, I sat down a few days after creating my list and went over it with my sister and triple checked against my online resources! This really helped to nail down our exact list and determine which brands we wanted to go with. Of course we chose some staple items, such as a KitchenAid stand mixer and a new set of pots and pans, but we also added some fun items and a couple of things for Nick. He can't wait to try his new pizza maker!

The wonderful thing about registering early on in the wedding-planning process is that you can go back to your online registry and tweak your list to add or remove items. This feature has been especially helpful because it can be a little overwhelming to think of everything as you are walking through the store. However, it was great to see the products in person. My biggest piece of advice is to make a checklist and take it with you. This will ensure that you have added each desired item to your registry, but don't stress because you can always add or remove items later! Remember as the season's change, new and fun products are always coming out that you can add to your registry! Happy registering!
