As of today, we have seven months to go before we are officially married! Wedding planning thus far has been a breeze and we took a nice little break over the holidays to spend time with friends and family. With one month left before the save the dates go out, it is time to start collecting addresses and finalizing the guest list!
In times like these, I wish I had kept an updated address book over the years, as collecting addresses and finalizing the guest list are both time-consuming tasks. We have a guest count that we would like to hit, but it is always so hard to make cuts - if only we could invite everyone!
What I have found to be especially helpful is to create a Google spreadsheet that allows my parents, Nick's parents and myself to update the spreadsheet as we receive addresses. By using a spreadsheet, we can easily track the exact number of guests and the guest type (adults vs. children). This system has made the most sense to keep everyone up to date!
