Now that we have our wedding band booked, I have been working on choosing the songs they will play at the reception. Selecting music for our reception has actually been quite fun! Thankfully, the band has a good set list of music to help guide us along the way. The band informed us that if they don't have a song listed on their set list that we really want to have played (i.e. Stitches by Shawn Mendes - for the kids), they will learn it for us and incorporate it into their set list! The one thing I have been struggling with is deciding on what slow songs to include. We are not big on slow dancing, and I always feel as if slow songs lose people on the dance floor. We are still planning on throwing a couple into the mix, but probably not too many. The most important thing to us is that our friends and family remember how much fun they had at the wedding!
We have also FINALLY decided on our first dance song and the song that will be played for the father/daughter dance! We are, however, still working on which song will be played for the mother/son dance. I plan on keeping those songs a secret though - that way our wedding guests will get the chance to be surprised!
