I have gone back and forth on the decision of whether or not I wanted to provide favors for our guests at our wedding. In my personal experience, most wedding favors seem to get left behind, and to be honest, I would rather put my money elsewhere if that is the case! With that being said, wedding favors that are edible always seem to be a great hit! My family is Italian, so for my sister's wedding we thought we would share our Italian heritage with the guests by making homemade Italian lemon cookies (also known as To-Tos). My grandma and grandpa made To-Tos as we were growing up and they are AMAZING!
Both mine and Nick's family are coffee drinkers, so we are thinking that we will make homemade biscotti using my grandma's old recipes. We want to share my family's Italian heritage with guests at our wedding, too! My grandma has since passed, so this will be a unique way to carry on her tradition, offer a personal touch to the event and in a way, make it feel as though she is present!
