I've been thinking a lot about table decor recently. There's an event rentals store in downtown Kearney that catches my attention every time I pass by with it's ever-changing window displays. The display that is up currently uses an array of different sizes and shapes of glass pieces. I love glass, and I love the warmth that candles bring to the table, especially during winter, so the combination of the two is sure to be a very focal part of our reception decor. I've been buying interesting pieces as I've found them at garage sales and thrift shops. My next step will be to dress them up. Here are some ideas I've gathered via Pinterest:
- The pinecone votive
- Twig-covered candles (could use cinnamon sticks, too!)
- Recycled spray-painted glass candle holders (though I don't think I would probably go with all white, personally)
- Shimmering epsom salt luminaries
Right now, I'm head-over-heels for this mix of birchwood and glitz!
So many ideas, so little time - only 108 days left to go!
PS - The most exciting news of the week is that my dress has arrived & is ready for me to pick up. I got the call late last week, but haven't been able to pinpoint a time to make the trip to Lincoln yet. That call suddenly made everything feel very real! :)
