{bride blogger katie} the hair

Spotlight

I made it to Lincoln on Saturday just in time to pick up my dress before the Bridal Gown Outlet closed.  I was definitely feeling the excitement from just to being able to carry the bag out of the shop.  Now I need to get to work on having the alterations done and deciding on the accessories to complete my look.

For the most part, I've been avoiding changing much with my hair, aside from regular trims and highlights over the summer.  The next time I go in, I'll probably have a couple of inches taken off and take the color back toward my naturally dark brunette shade.  Truthfully, I will probably go back to short hair after the wedding (it's a couple of inches below my shoulders now), but have been wanting to make sure that it's long enough to give me a variety of options for the big day.

My dress has a little bit of a vintage flair to it with it's beading, which is what I really love about it.  I haven't yet decided on a veil or hairpiece, because I'm not yet sold on what I'll do with my hair.  I'd love to hear your thoughts on these 3 styles.

Option 1: Wear it down with soft curls - my only hesitation with this style is whether it would last throughout the day/evening or end up falling flat?

Option 2: I LOVE the pin curls, but not sure if this might be "too much"?  It's very glam, so would want to probably go with a less dramatic make-up style.  When else would I get to wear pin curls though?  :)

Option 3: I feel like this is kind of a good in-between style.  There isn't a lot of fuss to it, and it still carries a bit of a vintage feel.  I also like that you could show off a pair of statement earrings with this style.

 101 days to go!
