It's wedding month!

We finally booked our photographer last week.  I definitely do not recommend waiting until the last minute to get your photographer booked, though it seemed to work for us (most likely that's mainly because we're having a Friday wedding in December).  We're so so so excited to be working with Jamy Sullivan and her husband, Jim, of Sullivan Photography.  We got a chance to meet with Jamy when we were in Lincoln over Thanksgiving weekend.  She has such a warm and fun personality, and I just can't wait to see what she will come up with for us.  A couple of things that I especially appreciated include that she releases all of the image copyrights, and that she is able to offer a video package to her clients as well.  I already knew that I wanted to have some video done, too, so this was definitely a win-win.  Because we are having an evening wedding, Jerad and I will be seeing each other  before the ceremony.  I had a couple of ideas in mind before our meeting, then Jamy was able to build everything into a time frame for us while we talked.  I loved that we had a "plan" before we even left her studio!

Speaking of plans, my plan for this week is to finalize the arrangements for all of the other events that will be taking place around the wedding day.  My mom would like to host a bridesmaids lunch.  Jerad is making the arrangements on the rehearsal dinner.  And I am working on coordinating everyone's schedules for everything else it seems.  :)  One thing I really want to make sure we make the time for is a non-wedding date night for Jerad & I.  I'm thinking a nice dinner, just us, phones shut off for a couple of hours.

I'm hoping that I'll feel a little more accomplished after this weekend.  I have my final 2 dress fittings on Saturday, and hope to be able to get our programs designed this weekend, too.  Is it weird that I haven't really done any Christmas shoping but am ready to wrap my bridesmaids gifts?  :)

 24 days to go!
