Hi NWD Readers! I am honored and grateful to be able to share my wedding-planning process with you and hope you find it useful, or at least fun to read! Drew, the groom, and I met eight years ago while both attending the University of Nebraska-Omaha and we started dating six years ago. We will be having a destination wedding in Mexico with about 40 of our closest family and friends joining us. Then we will host a reception in Omaha to celebrate with everyone else!
The best description of what we have in mind for our wedding day is relaxed, ethereal, festive and a little tropical flair! We plan to include natural elements like wood signs, watercolor blues and fun pops of gold here and there. We have found that there are two things really guiding us in the planning: 1) that we focus on our vision of the day and on including the things that will truly make our day fantastic and fun, and 2) that we curate a really great guest experience - one that leaves our guests feeling like not only did they have a blast but also that they were an important part of the whole day!
