Wedding week is here! Throughout my planning process I always felt like my wedding was an infinite date, and I am in total shock that is it a reality in only a few short days. I have finished all projects and now just need to pack all my materials up for drop offs on Friday. I will be picking my maid of honor, Jenna, up at the airport tomorrow morning and I cannot wait. I think having her here will bring me down to reality and calm me a little more. My mom has been such a HUGE help, running errands and finishing all crafts. She has the patience of a saint which is exactly what I need! ha! I am a little sad that this is my last blog post. I will miss sharing my experience with you all but I am beyond excited to be starting a new chapter in my life.
I have decided to pull my inspiration board back out from one of my first posts. It's fun to see what has changed in my plans and what hasn't. I do think my wedding plans look very similar to this board, especially the reception tables and flowers! I can't wait to see it all come together. I know it will be beautiful.
I have been a big ball of nerves this week and took it to my friends for advice. I love asking other brides what they learned from their wedding experience and planning process. Here is what a few of my friends said:
"Enjoy your reception and dance with your groom! I was too busy making sure I greeted everyone that I missed out on precious time on the dance floor. My husband and I love to dance together and I wish we would have spent more time together doing what we love."
"Trust your bridesmaids and maid of honor. They will make sure everything is taken care of and will handle any problems that come up."
"Don't worry about the small details going wrong. Something may go wrong, but you never should let it ruin your day."
After hearing what they said I decided starting today I am dropping all worry and anxiety over the day panning out exactly how I imagined. At this point, all that matters is that I am getting married to a wonderful man. Regardless of what happens, rain or shine, that will never change.
Cheers!
