Spotlight

Last week I had one of my final meetings with my florist, Stacy, at Petal Creations. I met with her once this fall to book my wedding date and to discuss my overall view. I made a few changes since then, but not many. Since our first meeting, my Mom and I have been collecting candlesticks. We collected a total of 31 and my Mom just recently spray painted them all ivory. I didn't pay over $4 for one, and I love the overall look they will create. I can't wait to see them with the flowers. We decided to go with small centerpieces that will allow guests to talk across the table (always a good thing, right?)

In our meeting we also discussed bouquets in greater detail(exactly what flowers in each, ribbon color, etc.) and the other details relating. None of the men will be wearing boutonnieres, and we will only have two large flower arrangements at the ceremony(which will be gorgeous!)

Now, I must say, I thought I was quite the "cool" bride up until last week. I wasn't stressed and I was pretty laid back about everything. I do believe I had my first(and hopefully only!) mini bridal meltdown last week. With all of the details coming into focus and the struggle to cram in all the final meetings, I felt a little overwhelmed. I can picture how I want my hair to look, my flowers and the details, but it was the fear that things won't turn out how I thought they'd look. Normal? I think so. Once I took a step back and remembered why I was getting married and to who, I felt a whole lot better.

With nearly 3 weeks before the big day I have my final meetings with my reception hall, priest, dress fitting, hair appointment, make up consultation, and DJ/videographer. Phew! I'm ready for it all, I still cannot believe how fast the day will come!

Cheers!
