{bride blogger megan} the registry

Trends

The next thing on our "to do" list is to create a registry. I know it will be a blast, but it is kind of an overwhelming  process. We have to finish it soon since my bridal shower invitations have gone out! Yikes! We decided to create two registries, one at Pottery Barn and the other at Target. I'm sure a lot of other couples struggle when creating a registry when the bride or groom(or both) already own a lot of home necessities. Tyler bought a house a few years ago and I have helped him add dishes, silverware, pots and pans, etc. to the house over the last few years. Since we have some basics(not all) we needed to really sit down and plan our registry before we went "gun happy." I was told to ask for all white linens and towels since they are the easiest to care for and match everything. I think it's a great idea! There have also been some white dishes and serving platters at Target I have been eying!

There are a few items that I have put my focus on. The first item is a bedding set from Pottery Barn for the guest bedroom. Since both our families are from out of state I would really like a super comfortable room for them to come stay in! I registered for this duvet, quilt and sheet set. Oh, and how could I pass up this adorable clock?!

We still haven't created a registry at Target and made plans to do so this week. Tyler agreed to lead in the kitchen appliances/utensils and I will lead the home decor area. I plan to think practical, but I also plan to register for some staple hosting items like the ones below. Once again, how can you go wrong with all white?

Can this KitchenAid mixer count as my "something blue"? Love it!

Cheers!
