Right now my Christmas shopping list isn't the only gift list that's on my mind; it's time to start thinking about our registry. With some spare time this past Sunday we decided to get a head start and register at one of our chosen stores. After glancing through a few catalogs and perusing a couple checklists I thought I was prepared, I mean how hard could shopping be? It turns out it was a lot harder than I thought. I plan on keeping items from my registry for 10 - 20 years or more so I want to make sure we pick out items that we not only love but that are functional and can stand the test of time. It is easy to get distracted by items that might be fun, but not practical (hello fondue set). I need to get more organized before our next trip and stick to a list. It was still a fun shopping trip that reminded me of all the generous and loving family and friends who want to help us get our life set up together.
