{bride bloggers megan} men's attire & rentals

Spotlight

We have had a busy few weeks arranging some details we have put off this spring. Last week we went to Elite Event Rentals to pick out our linens, napkins and chargers. I wanted to bring some color and shimmer to our reception tables and with the help from Hilary at Elite, I decided upon a champagne moire linen(it has the perfect amount of shimmer) and a peach napkin. I went in today to see my choices displayed, and the peach turned out to be more orange than I had envisioned. So, I decided on a tan napkin in it's place. We also let go of the gold chargers I picked out because they would crowd the table. I found this image below from stylemepretty of how we will arrange the place settings.

My mom and I have collected all of the candlesticks that we plan to paint all one color. We can't decide, should we paint them brown, white or a pale mint? I can't wait to hear your thoughts! I will also have pale pink, white and soft green flowers on each table.

Tyler and I went to Men's Warehouse on Tuesday to pick out the men's attire. He originally wanted to wear a white vest and tie to set himself apart from the rest of the groomsmen but the store made an excellent point: If my dress wasn't a true white, his vest and tie may make my dress look more ivory or yellow. After we heard that, Tyler decided the entire party will wear this tux, and he will have a white hankerchief and the rest of the groomsmen will have a pale pink. We also bought pink ties for the ushers, who will wear black suit jackets and a white shirt.

I love what he picked out and I think he'll look so handsome! Only 3 more months until the big day...I can't wait!
