On June 16, Nebraska’s top wedding professionals gathered at the iconic Joslyn Art Museum ("The Joslyn") for Nebraska Wedding Day’s Best of 2025—an evening that honored local excellence in weddings in elegant style.
The event kicked off with cocktail hour, where esteemed guests were treated to a first look at the beautifully styled space by 402 Events and the chance to capture their red-carpet moment on the museum’s sweeping staircase. With women dressed to impress and the men equally sharp—many styled with help from Skeffington’s Formal Wear, who offered pre-event discounts on rentals and purchases—the grand atrium became an impromptu runway. The atmosphere was set with stunning sculptural floral installations from Lavish Flower Design. Mahr String Quartet provided a graceful live soundtrack while guests enjoyed elevated bites and beverages by Abraham Catering, and customized their own signature scents at Pretty Girl Fragrance Bar—a unique perfume experience that let attendees blend their own fragrances or essential oils. Adding a playful and immersive touch, Omaha Circus Arts delighted guests with roving acts and live characters, including a champagne skirt server and living statue performers. Of course, the signature “Cloud Nine” cocktail was also on hand, served in elegant crystal coupes and topped with whimsical cotton candy.
Following the welcome hour, attendees moved into The Joslyn’s auditorium for the awards ceremony. Iron Diamond Media CEO Sonja Babich welcomed the crowd with heartfelt remarks before Nebraska Wedding Day Editor Sydney Stevens and Publisher Brooke Beise took the stage to present this year’s awards. All three sported effortlessly chic hair and makeup by Model Perfect Airbrush, whose team provided beauty services for the Iron Diamond team. The stage design included a clear podium framed by soft drapery, stage clouds and floral touches, with graphics and signage by Nicole Reher Creative and AV and lighting by Nova Productions. Videography by K.LaFleur Films and pictures by Leah Pieper Photography beautifully documented the evening from start to finish.
After the final award was given, the celebration soared into its next chapter. Omaha Street Percussion opened the after-party with an energizing performance, followed by lively sets from Downtown Collective Band. The sophisticated-and-electric space featured dreamy linens by Zaffre Fine Linens and statement rentals from Catalyst Event Rentals, Diehl Event Rentals, United Rent All and The Wallflower Omaha. Guests danced beneath The Joslyn’s glass ceiling—and the stunning Glowing Gemstone Polyvitro Chandelier by Dale Chihuly—sipped drinks from The Party Bar’s oversized LED letters and faceted tumblers, snapped selfies in the FotoFunSpot photo booth and indulged in dreamy desserts from Love More Sweets, including a towering confection dressed in sky-blue sugar flowers.
Immersive design details and a fresh sense of creativity brought The Sky’s the Limit theme to vivid life—and marked a memorable tribute to the incredible talent shaping weddings across Nebraska.
