Weddings are about celebrating unity and creating unforgettable moments. And while this day should be about the two of you and channeling your personalities so that the day is highly personal and perfectly you, what is "of the moment" will always play a role in the day. 2023 is in full swing and we're loving what we're seeing so far! From fashion and florals to food and photography, read on to see what trends industry experts predict will take off this year!

A BREAK FROM TRADITION
"Non-traditional weddings will continue to be a growing trend in 2023. The last few years have taught us that time is not of the essence. Nothing needs to be hurried. Many couples changed their plans in 2020 and 2021 because of Covid-19 but their lives moved on regardless. Some had small quiet ceremonies and saved the party for later. Many couples chose to grow their families and as life gets somewhat back to normal are now choosing to have celebratory "we do -redos." For Galyen Barns, 2023 is gearing up to be a big wedding season similar to pre-covid years with the exception of less traditional events and far more couples who are already legally joined or have already started their families." ~ Deborah Galyen, Galyen Barns

GO BOLD
Pantone's Color of the Year, Viva Magenta, is promoting joyous celebration and we're here for it! From fashion to florals and servingware to signage, punchy hues are helping make bold statements this year when it comes to weddings.

Rachel Wort of Rachel J. Events says, "2023 is the year of COLOR! We are seeing a lot of color carried throughout lounge, tabletop and floral."

A LITTLE THIS, A LITTLE THAT
While plated dinners aren't new or revolutionary, they are making a resurgence. In a post-pandemic world, gatherings have gone back to the basics when it comes to dinner service, though with a slight spin on tradition. Having a seated dinner, but adding a chef-attended action station, can add intrigue and serve as a converstaion piece for your guests, while offering something for everone. Per Sarah of Patricia Catering and Cocktails"We are seeing a continuation of sage accents, plated salads, and comfort food."

BELLE OF THE BALL
Off-the-shoulder wedding gowns (with or without sleeves) offer a romantic and timeless look for those wishing to fulfill their fairytale dreams. Showing off the shoulders and chest, this classic silhouette flatters every shape.

BED OF ROSES
Using an item (whether that be greenery, florals or candlelight) en masse when it comes to your wedding design may seem like something only a minimalist would do, but this trend promises to pack a maximallist punch.

LET'S DANCE
We love seeing custom dance floors gaining popularity as they are the focal point of the reception. From custom logos to patterns and intricate designs, creating a statement piece that encourages guests to kick off their shoes and leave their mark on the dance floor can leave a lasting impression.
