AVOR is one of Elkhorn’s premier and longest-running event facilities. With a gorgeous outdoor patio for ceremonies or cocktail hours, you can say your ‘I dos' with the backdrop of the unobstructed West Omaha skyline and country club, golf course views. For your ballroom reception, the spacious dance floor is located under a chandelier lit, custom ceiling install. The large 26-foot, fully-stocked bar with a mirrored back provides a warm atmosphere, keeping every guest happy. AVOR is also conveniently located off of Dodge Street and the Elkhorn exit, so you can enjoy all that the surrounding area has to offer, including Village Pointe shopping, bars, breweries, parks, hotels, and multiple photo opportunities. With ample paved parking, guests not only have easy access to our space, but they are also allowed to leave vehicles here overnight. Safety first!

Hi, hello!
Thank you for your interest in A Venue On the Ridge. My name is Devon, and I am the General Manager here. As my main goal is to make every couple feel celebrated, comfortable, and accommodated....my roots with AVOR go much deeper. My first job, was in fact, at A Venue On the Ridge....but much less glamorous. At 14, I started my "career" scraping dishes in the back during weddings, dreaming of one day being an integral part of someone's bid day here. Now, more than 10 years later, our fabulous owner, Amy Freshman, called me up and asked me to manage a space that has always meant a great deal to me. She gave me a shot, and now my 14-year-old dreams are now a reality. I get to live out every day doing what I love most....helping make beautiful memories and personalized experiences for our fabulous couples!
Not only do I have experience in the "Omaha Wedding World" working previously for a wonderful design company that served many couples in the area, but now I have harnessed that passion to the clientele side. I am your go-to girl throughout this whole process. From first meeting, to tours, consultations, tastings, and more, I am here for YOU through every step of the way. I'm even with you on your big day! This can be an overwhelming and scary experience, but I'm here to make sure it's far from such. Your personal hype woman through it all, I coordinate your vendors, timeline, and everything in between, so you two can focus on what really matters. From first contact to dancing the night away with you at your reception, you have me! This makes the process approachable, easy, stress-free, and seamless.
Our entire team, led by our wonderful husband and wife duo, have over 40+ years of shared wedding experience. Our owners, Bob and Amy Freshman, started as the caterers here when this building belonged to The Ridge golf course. When the opportunity came to buy the building, Bob and Amy continued doing what they love most...catering! To this day, the owners are still the ones in the kitchen the morning of your wedding making your menu from scratch, just as they did years before. Fresh Catering provides wonderful, in-house catering with custom menus to fit any palate. This emphasizes how much our owners and staff truly care about the quality of your big day!
