Dreamy Florals and Airy Palette in Contemporary Wedding day at The Joslyn

From the moment Cameron Scott and Joseph Johnson met each other, destiny started writing their inevitable love story. Soon after they met in high school, Joseph became the teacher’s assistant in Cameron’s art class, though he spent far more time getting to know her than assisting. In another twist of fate, Cameron had long dreamed of getting married at The Joslyn, ever since she witnessed a wedding there on a childhood field trip. As the day of their timeless fête arrived, the iconic museum served as the inspiration for every decision. Their ceremony highlighted the architectural beauty of the venue as chairs were arranged to echo the building’s curves and lead to a stage for Cameron and Joseph to enter the next chapter of their lives together. “I do’s” were a catalyst for celebration as guests gathered to find their seat among acrylic pedestals adorned with dreamy florals and Champagne, creating an interactive experience. A caterpillar-style table layout garnished with an abundance of clustered blooms artfully mirrored the museum's Dale Chihuly sculpture. Creating a work of art, the wedding gowns of Cameron and Joseph’s mothers and grandmothers were displayed to honor the love stories that came before them. The soirée ended sweetly, with the couple serving their favorite Dairy Queen Blizzards in custom cups. “From falling in love with The Joslyn as a little girl, getting to know the love of my life in high school art class, saying "I do" in an art museum—it all felt meant to be,” she says.
