{fitness challenge} week eight

Wow! It’s the end of Week 8 already! This fitness challenge is really winding down. In two weeks I’ll do my final testing and I can’t wait to see how much I’ve improved in just 10 weeks.

This week I got to switch it up a bit… I got to bring a friend to a kickboxing class!  I brought along one of my bridesmaids, Rachel, that just recently got married and went through a very similar workout and meal plan that I am going through now.  I have grown to appreciate having someone to chat with and she wasn’t even at the gym with me! We  had a good time and a great workout! It reminded me that burning calories and celebrating successes is a lot more fun with someone close to you.

Even though I did not sign up for FXB with a friend, I did get a team of people to work with everyday.  Farrell’s is not a one-on-one training program.  We are in classes and within the classes are the people doing the 10 week program. We are a team of five people at 5 am. We have our coach, Sarah, and she keeps us motivated too. We talk about the challenges as well as keep up on how we are doing. During our five-week testing, we cheered each other on… It helped! We’ve become workout pals, and it helps us get through some of the hardest workouts. We all signed up to continue Farrell’s after our 10 weeks are finished—so if you’ve been wondering if I’d recommend Farrell’s, I do!

If you’ve ever had trouble committing to a workout plan, I’d highly recommend finding someone close to you to workout with! I’ve tried a lot of different gyms and have found that the places I had a friend to meet up with were the places that I got the most out of my membership! Set some goals and work together to meet them. If you’re not sure if you have a friend with the same goals you do… I’ll be at Farrell’s at 5 am!

 See you next week!
