Contemporary art met natural beauty when Jaden Kok, owner of JadenKay Designs, gathered a team of wedding professionals to create something truly one-of-a-kind. The design choices stemmed from the floral concept, with one clear main character: a towering paper flower crafted from crepe paper, hot glue, wire and a whole lot of love. “Creating something sculptural yet romantic and whimsical was exactly what I was going for,” Kok says. “From there, I incorporated fresh florals to bring in organic movement and ensure a lively feel.” A labor of love to say the least, Kok wrinkled the paper to create a beautiful texture, giving the scene a sense of naturalism.

Adhering to the garden theme, Kok complemented the blooming vignette with a fragrant composition of flourishing florals. Everything blended harmoniously, from abundant hydrangeas and roses to delicate Queen Anne’s lace, as well as grand bells of Ireland paired with larkspur and delphinium. Offering a modern edge, the scene was accented with anthurium and snake allium. The sweetheart table was set with romantic green and pink linens, patterned plates and chic striped pink menus and napkins. The remaining tables were kept simple yet elevated, featuring crisp white linens, pink napkins and bud vases illuminated by flickering taper candles. As a sweet finale, two cakes leaned into the artistic vision—one adorned with pink blooms, and the other a rectangular confection garnished with pears, grapes and earthy florals.
