Chelsea Flynn and Daniel Dunham are proof that love shows up in unexpected places, even in today’s world. They first connected online, and Chelsea says neither of them expected much to come of it—“but here we are today!” During their first date at Omaha’s Upstream Brewing Co. in the Old Market, conversation flowed easily, and after dating long-distance for several months, they bought a house together. One morning Daniel surprised Chelsea with a trip to the South Dakota Badlands. “He woke me up at like 4 a.m. I had no idea what was happening,” Chelsea says. After a hike, Daniel called Chelsea over to help with their dog, Mumford, and when she turned around, Daniel was down on one knee. The couple considered a destination wedding, but opted for Omaha because it was home base. Chelsea fell in love with The Barn at the Ackerhurst Dairy Farm. Her special request was a big, beautiful bouquet; Alisa Roth from Bloom Works Floral came through, and was “so, so easy to work with,” Chelsea says. Kate Spade sneakers with gold glitter were Chelsea’s gift to her bridesmaids to wear with their gorgeous evergreen dresses, in keeping with the dark green and gold color scheme. “It was the perfect day,” Chelsea concludes. “All the vendors we worked with were amazing; there isn’t one I can think of that didn’t do an A-plus job.”
