FROM THE BRIDE: We wanted the night to feel like a New Year's Eve party more than a wedding. We did simple black and whites with lots of glittery golds to celebrate the holiday. The event wouldn't have been complete without some nods to the Omaha Fire Department. With Jake being a third generation firefighter, it has been a huge part of the McDonnell family. We decided that for dinner we wanted to sit alone at a sweetheart table, which ended up being the best decision we made. That was probably the only time the entire day we got to relax and just enjoy the moment. Those 30 minutes together overlooking a room full of all our loved ones was a memory I will always cherish.
